MUSIC

God created us in His image and desires our worship. Worship is the many ways that we show God our love, adoration, honor and praise. Music and creative arts are some of the ways that we worship at SPUMC. Whether you are musically talented and thinking of joining a choir, or just enjoy the excellent music on Sunday mornings, we can all be involved in the music ministries of SPUMC.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir meets every Wednesday at 6:30 pm. in the choir room which is located in our new fellowship hall. We perform a variety of musical styles and typically perform two large works annually for Christmas and Easter as well as leading worship during the 10:30 Service. No auditions are required, only the desire to serve the Lord with your gift of music.
Instrumentalists
We have several high school students as well as adults that play not only for special choir anthems but also during the worship service (about once every other month). If you are interested in participating in this ministry please contact Carol Adams.
Sound Technicians
Our technical team plays a very important role in enabling the church to see and hear what is being communicated each Sunday. We have volunteer positions in the areas of sound, video direction, camera operation and lighting. Some of these positions require training and a faithful commitment.
